General Vehicle Rental Terms and Conditions

This document sets forth the general terms and conditions applicable to customers (“Renter”) who benefit from vehicle rental services provided by Ecomax Car Rental (“Company”).

1. Scope of Service

Ecomax Car Rental provides vehicle rental services subject to vehicle availability. Pre-reservations do not constitute confirmed reservations until approved by the Company.

2. Services Included in the Price

  • Full insurance coverage (subject to police or accident report)
  • Traffic insurance
  • Theft insurance
  • Airport delivery and return service
  • Roadside assistance
  • Value Added Tax (VAT)

3. Insurance and Coverage Conditions

Vehicles are covered by full insurance. To benefit from insurance coverage, an official police or accident report must be issued.

Insurance does not cover the following situations:

  • Damages without official reports
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Use of the vehicle by unauthorized persons not listed in the rental agreement

4. Driver’s License and Age Requirement

The renter must be at least 22 years old and hold a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 2 years.

5. Payment and Vehicle Delivery

Payment is made at the time of vehicle delivery. Vehicles are delivered in proper working condition and must be returned in the same condition.

6. Traffic Fines and Toll Fees

All traffic fines, highway and bridge tolls incurred during the rental period are the responsibility of the renter, even if received after the rental period.

7. HGS (Electronic Toll System)

Vehicles are equipped with HGS systems registered to the license plate. Usage fees are calculated upon vehicle return and charged to the renter including VAT.

8. Renter Obligations

  • Use the vehicle in accordance with the rental agreement
  • Comply with traffic laws
  • Immediately notify the Company in case of accident or damage

9. Limitation of Liability

The Company shall not be held liable for delays or failures caused by force majeure, third-party actions, or decisions of public authorities.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Renter retains the right to apply to Consumer Arbitration Committees and Consumer Courts where applicable.
